Brian Davidson, fresh from his nerve-wracking appearance on BBC hit The Traitors, has swapped the infamous Roundtable for the photographer’s studio and the move has paid off handsomely.
Davidson, a professional photographer and owner of Glasgow-based studio Snap, is celebrating his best-selling year yet, with sales up more than 70 percent in 2025. The rise follows his memorable appearance in the second season of The Traitors, which made him a familiar face to millions of viewers and an unexpected powerful brand amplifier for his company.
Studio Snap, which specializes in wedding, family and event photography, has benefited from what Davidson calls the “traitor effect.” Since the show aired, he has built up a significant following on social media by providing incisive insider analysis of subsequent series and his commentary has been well received by the show’s extremely dedicated fan base.
This digital dynamic has translated into commercial success. Davidson’s platforms have become a destination for fans to take a closer look at each episode and have helped him expand his audience far beyond traditional photography customers. The expanded reach has led to collaborations with a number of high-profile brands, positioning Davidson as both a content creator and business owner, while continuing to scale Studio Snap.
“The experience at The Traitors was intense and surreal,” said Davidson. “Coming out of that environment gave me a new perspective. From one of the most stressful interviews imaginable, I went straight back into the studio and put that energy into the business. Seeing Studio Snap deliver a record year is the ultimate win.”
While his online presence has opened new doors, Davidson is clear that photography remains central to his ambitions. “I love that I can keep one foot in the world of traitors through my analysis videos, the fans are incredible,” he said. “Working with the brand was exciting, but photography will always remain my greatest passion.”
The business was also buoyed by a number of industry awards, further cementing Studio Snap’s reputation for relaxed, professional photography across Scotland and beyond.
With next year’s bookings already piling up and his digital following continuing to grow, Davidson enters 2026 with momentum on multiple fronts – proof that reality TV exposure, coupled with a strong core business, can bring more than just fleeting fame.
