Bentley gives its grand tourers the sporty touch of carbon fiber.
The Bentley Continental GT and the related Flying Spur have been a celebrated ultra-luxury grand tourer for over 20 years, known for their timeless style and sumptuous elegance. However, the Continental GT was never designed to be simply a floating land yacht, and while it can serve the purpose of being a relaxed cruiser, the Continental hides significant performance potential beneath its stately exterior. However, Bentley has brought this performance to the fore in the past with cars such as the Continental GT3 and road-going Continental GT3-R, as well as the Bentley Continental GT Speed and Bentley Continental Supersports over the years.
The latest Bentley Continental GT Speed boasts groundbreaking performance thanks to its twin-turbo V8 engine and hybrid system. In addition, a new generation of Bentley Supersports has just been released, 100 years after the Supersports name first became part of the Bentley legacy in 1925. This included a new titanium Akrapovič exhaust system that highlights the V8’s character in a unique, driver-focused way, and now a titanium Akrapovič exhaust system is now available as an option on other Continental GT and Flying Spur models.
Along with this performance-focused exhaust system, the new Bentley Continental GT, Continental GTC and Flying Spur now offer a new carbon fiber styling specification, adding motorsport and performance-inspired carbon fiber accents throughout the design. The specification includes a larger carbon fiber rear diffuser than the previous generation, as well as lower side skirts and front splitter for an even more aggressive, sporty appearance.
Available for retrofitting an existing vehicle or as an option on a new vehicle, the carbon fiber package is designed to work seamlessly with the Akrapovič exhaust as well as the Blackline specification, creating one of the sportiest aesthetics ever seen on a Bentley. Bentley’s new carbon fiber styling specification underlines the robust performance character of its Grand Touring models, combining luxurious elegance with racing heritage.
