Beatbot’s Sora 70 raises the bar for mid-range pool cleaners

Chinese pool cleaning robot company Beatbot has announced Sora 70, the first model in its new Sora range. Slated for a spring 2026 launch, the product borrows ideas from its more expensive siblings (like the AquaSense 2 Ultra) and makes it a powerful pool cleaner. However, we were promised that the Sora 70 will target the mid-range segment with a value-oriented approach.

At the heart of the device is the JetPulse Water Surface Cleaning dual-flow nozzle system, which actively collects floating debris such as insects, pollen, twigs or larger dust particles towards the suction inlet before they sink and accumulate at the bottom of your pool.

A mid-range pool robot that doesn’t make any compromises

Under the hood, Beatbot’s HydroBalance structure combines a center-mounted pump with a high-performance motor that moves 6,800 gallons per hour and should be powerful enough to lift fine sand, leaves, and stubborn algae.

In terms of reach, the Sora 70 can clean floors, walls, waterlines and shallow ledges (up to 20cm), reducing dead spots caused by manual cleaners. It also comes with a 6-liter waste bin that holds up to 800 sheets (the company says it’s twice the size of a typical cleaner).

The Sora 70 robotic pool cleaner is powered by a 10,000mAh battery that is rated for up to 5 hours of floor cleaning and up to 7 hours of surface cleaning. Beatbot claims the device can cover a pool of up to 3,230 square feet in a single cycle.

When the pool cleaner finally finishes its work, it rises to the surface, drains excess water and stays there to be lifted thanks to Smart Surface Parking, a unique and effective floating recovery system (works like a real submarine). This, in particular, is one of the strongest aspects of the product.

If you take a quick look at the mid-range robot pool cleaners available on the market, you will notice that most of them make compromises, be it in suction power, range or battery life.

However, the Sora 70 offers all the high-end features, such as: B. Surface skimming, shallow water cleaning and self-floating recovery, at a relatively lower price (which remains under wraps for now).

If you have a medium or large pool (up to 3,230 square feet), the Sora 70 can help you save the time and effort of manual cleaning or the recurring costs of calling local pool cleaners. It promises fewer missed spots, less manual skimming, and no wrestling a sodden robot out of the pool.

The Beatbot Sora 70 will be available in the US in spring 2026. The price of the product has not yet been announced. Check out our latest CES 2026 coverage to learn more about such useful and exciting products.
