As the 2026 Formula 1 season approaches, the expected debuts of new and returning names on the grid are getting closer and closer, and one of the most talked about is that of Audi. The Audi Revolut F1 Team has been taking shape for years, and as its promised debut in 2026 draws ever closer, the team has announced that the official launch will take place on January 20th in Berlin.
This launch will see the unveiling of the team’s official racing livery, but before that the team celebrated another milestone: the successful commissioning of its car. On December 19, the event took place at the team’s premises in Hinwil, Switzerland and marked the first time that the new Audi Power Unit was installed in the chassis, an important step towards realizing the dream of racing on the F1 grid.
As 2026 marks big changes for the elite and prestigious motorsport series, the Audi F1 car will run on sustainable fuel, powering a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine. In addition, the powertrain features an energy recovery system that allows the vehicle to recover and use kinetic energy when braking. In total, the estimated power output of the new Audi F1 car is over 1,000 horsepower, and this power is transmitted through an 8-speed gearbox. Audi is preparing to compete in Formula 1 this year. His car’s successful first start means it is well on its way there.
