Asus now offers the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 in two new flavors

ASUS has quietly added two new models to its GeForce RTX 5060 lineup, which at first glance look almost identical to existing cards but come with some hardware optimizations. Without a formal announcement, ASUS has listed the Dual GeForce RTX 5060 EVO and Dual GeForce RTX 5060 Ti EVO on its website. These cards sit alongside the standard RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti cards and offer the same core performance while redesigning the physical design and internal layout.

The most noticeable change is the size. Both EVO cards use a slimmer 2.1-slot design instead of the 2.5-slot layout of previous versions, making them more suitable for compact PC builds. ASUS also redesigned the board to use a shorter PCIe x8 edge connector instead of a full-length x16 connector (via Vortez).

Hardware optimizations behind the slimmer design

The placement of the power connector has also changed. ASUS has moved the single 8-pin connector closer to the left side of the card near the I/O bracket. This could make cable routing a little more difficult depending on the case layout. With the RTX 5060 Ti EVO, ASUS has removed features from the non-EVO model, including GPU Guard boost and dual BIOS switch.

Still, the card retains its dual-fan cooling system with Axial-Tech fans, a metal backplate with vent cutouts, and the same factory clock speeds. The overclocked RTX 5060 Ti EVO still accelerates up to 2632 MHz, matching the standard dual OC model. The memory configurations remain unchanged, with the RTX 5060 Ti EVO being offered in a 16GB variant. ASUS hasn’t announced pricing or release dates, but the lack of fanfare suggests that these EVO cards are intended as quiet alternatives rather than replacements. For developers who prefer smaller cases and cleaner layouts, ASUS’ RTX 5060 EVO series offers the same GPU performance in a slimmer, more compact form.

If you’re wondering whether a card like the RTX 5060 EVO is right for your system, this buying guide and best graphics card lists can show you how the different options compare, as well as other alternatives worth considering. Upcoming CES 2026 announcements could further clarify where Nvidia’s RTX 50 Super GPUs are headed next.
