companion is offering discounts of up to $6,000 across the entire model range as the company looks to maintain its momentum in 2025 after a record year in Australia.
The Haval Jolion small SUV is offered at discounts ranging from $1,000 to $3,000, with discounts ranging from $2,000 to $4,000 for the mid-size Haval H6 SUV, $2,000 for the similarly sized Haval H7, $1,000 for the Tank 300 off-road SUV, between $1,000 and $2,000 for the Tank 500 large SUV and Cannon ute and between $2000 and $6000 for the Cannon Alpha ute.
Some GWM models – the Cannon Alpha and Ora electric hatches – are also being offered with further discounts for ABN holders.
This discounted price applies to 2025-plated models ordered and delivered before January 31, 2026.

The cheapest model in the GWM range is the Haval Jolion Premium at $23,990 auto, $3,000 less. The price range is $77,990 on-car for the Tank 500 Ultra PHEV, including a savings of $3,000.
GWM was the seventh best-selling brand in Australia last year and this result cemented its reputation as Australia’s most popular Chinese automotive brand.
However, only 394 sales separated GWM from eighth-place BYD, and with that brand releasing a flood of new models, the picture could be different in 2026.
GWM delivered 52,809 vehicles in Australia last year, 23.4 percent more than the previous year, in a market that grew just 0.3 percent. The dealer network grew by 10 percent and the brand now has 123 dealers across the country.
All GWM models were up in 2025, with the exception of the Tank 500, which fell 9.2 percent to 1,519 units, and the Ora, the brand’s only electric vehicle (EV) to date, which fell 37.7 percent to 763 units.
Otherwise, there were increases in sales across the board. The Tank 300 rose by 26.9 percent to 5,035 units, the Haval H6 by 6.5 percent to 13,217 units and the Cannon Alpha by a whopping 130.5 percent to 2,524 units.
The brand’s bestseller was its cheapest model, the Haval Jolion, which rose 36.3 percent to 19,413 units, but could not beat rival Hyundai Kona (22,769 units, up 31.1 percent).
Rounding out the range was the new Cannon, an updated version of the ute which recorded 7800 deliveries; and the new Haval H7, which accounted for 450 deliveries.
GWM plans to launch “at least” seven new models in Australia this year, “all offering new energy options with innovative Hi4 and Hi4-T (plug-in hybrid) technology”.
Last year, PHEVs accounted for 7.9 percent of GWM sales, ahead of electric vehicles (1.4 percent, all Ora models) but behind hybrids (21.2 percent) and gasoline and diesel models (69.5 percent combined).
Upcoming products include GWM’s first people mover and the first vehicle adopted by GWM’s premium Wey brand, a model known as the Wey 80 in some markets.
In addition to introducing new models and variants, the company continues to localize its vehicles. Last year, the company hired former GM Holden chassis guru Rob Trubiani as product development manager and tasked him with developing local ride and handling tunes for its vehicles.
