Although Samsung hasn’t taken the wraps off the Galaxy S26 series yet, leaks about its 2027 flagship have already surfaced. Last week, a report suggested a major overhaul to the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s camera, and now a new leak has revealed some details about the camera setup.
Trusted leaker Ice Universe recently claimed that the Galaxy S27 Ultra could come with new main, ultra-wide-angle and selfie cameras. While details about the ultra-wide angle and selfie cameras are still under wraps, the tipster has now revealed that the device may feature a new Samsung ISOCELL sensor with model number S5KHP6, which is likely to be called ISOCELL HP6.
Although it will be a 200MP sensor, like the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s ISOCELL HP2, it will reportedly bring new technologies that could significantly improve image quality. Like the previous leak, this new information should be taken with caution as the Galaxy S27 series is still over a year away and is likely in early stages of development.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is currently in the spotlight
For now, attention remains on the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, which is expected to launch later this month or early next month. Rumors suggest that the top-end Galaxy S26 Ultra may bring minor camera improvements, featuring a 200MP main camera with a larger aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 50MP periscope zoom camera, a 12MP secondary telephoto camera and a 12MP selfie shooter.
However, the device is expected to offer some notable improvements, including a new SoC, faster charging, and an innovative privacy feature that obscures the screen from side angles to keep it away from prying eyes. On the software side, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could include new AI-powered features, such as a revamped Bixby experience with Perplexity, new image editing tools, and more.
