2027 Volvo EX60 revealed: Electric XC60 counterpart committed to Australia

The Volvo EX60 has been unveiled as a new mid-size electric SUV that serves as a battery-powered counterpart to the popular XC60.

It sits between the EX30 and EX40 small electric SUVs and the flagship EX90 and introduces the Chinese-Scandinavian automaker’s new SPA3 platform.

The EX60 is expected to arrive in Australia in late 2026 or early 2027, depending on the variant. A performance variant is expected to be available for sale here in mid-2027.

Unlike some other Volvos sold here, the EX60 will come from the brand’s home country of Sweden, rather than China.

Volvo hasn’t confirmed pricing yet, warning that initial factory quantities will be “somewhat limited.”

There are three batteries and three powertrains to choose from, including single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations that wear out P6, P10 AWD And P12 AWD Name tags.

All EX60s have a bi-directional charging capability of 22 kW, depending on the country.

Each powertrain will be available in either Plus or Ultra trim, with the entry-level Core grade launching later.
