2026 Lotus Emira Turbo Bathurst Edition unveiled with big performance and price differences

Australian Lotus dealer Simply Sports Cars has revealed this Lotus Emira Turbo Bathurst Editiona limited version of the mid-engine sports coupe designed for local buyers.

The Bathurst Edition is limited to 15 copies and can be ordered now. Prices start at $249,990 before travelCostwhich positions it well above the regular four-cylinder Emira range.

According to Simply Sports Cars, the Bathurst Edition is based on the Emira Turbo, which uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine from Mercedes-AMG mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and rear-wheel drive.

In standard tune, the Emira Turbo produces 268kW of power and 430Nm of torque, while the Turbo SE increases this to 298kW and 480Nm of torque.

Lotus claims the Turbo SE can complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.0 seconds and reach 290 km/h. Simply Sports Cars has not released any acceleration or top speed figures for the Bathurst Edition.

For the Bathurst Edition, Simply Sports Cars says it has retuned the AMG M139 engine to produce “more than 500 hp (375 kW)” and a “significant” increase in torque, but has not released a torque figure. This is a huge performance increase and, as far as we can tell, the highest state of tune ever offered for the AMG engine from a ‘factory’ offering.
