Korean car brand KGM has confirmed the latest addition to its growing range of mid-size SUVs – an electric SUV that will enter an already booming segment with options.
The KGM Torres EVX joins the petrol-powered Torres and its slimmer Actyon brother already in showrooms, as well as the recently announced Torres Hybrid.
Like the Torres Hybrid, the Torres EVX will be available at select KGM dealers by the end of this month before sales begin on December 1, 2025.

It’s offered in just one trim level and costs $58,000 to drive – $10,000 more than the top-of-the-line Torres Hybrid K40, which has fewer standard features, and $2,000 less than the Musso EV, also launching in December.
Unlike the electric Musso crew cab model, all-wheel drive is not available for the Torres EV.
The Torres EVX and Musso EV will be the first electric vehicles (EVs) from KGM available in Australia, as we never received the electric E-Motion version of the Korando, which was the first electric vehicle from the brand formerly known as SsangYong.

Drives and efficiency
Only a single-engine, front-wheel drive powertrain is available.
According to KGM, it takes 37 minutes to charge the Torres EVX’s battery from 10 to 80 percent using a 300 kW DC fast charger. At 100 kW it should take about 42 minutes.
A 0-100 percent charge on an 11kW AC charger takes about nine hours, according to KGM, and there’s Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, which lets you power small electronic devices.

Maintenance and warranty
The KGM Torres EVX comes with a seven-year, unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and a ten-year, unlimited mileage battery warranty.
