The now-defunct Core omitted the front parking sensors, surround-view camera, driver’s knee airbag, power tailgate, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, ambient lighting and illuminated vanity mirrors of other J7 models.

It also featured an unbranded six-speaker sound system instead of an eight-speaker Sony unit.
Deliveries of the Jaecoo J7 – the Omoda Jaecoo brand’s debut model in Australia – began in May 2025. Although it was not on sale for a full year, a total of 2706 J7s reached customers in 2025, outselling a handful of midsize SUVs, including the Renault Koleos (1027) and all of KGM’s midsize SUVs combined (643).
The J7 was followed by the larger Jaecoo J8 and the Omoda 9 in 2025, and the small Jaecoo J5 will come onto the market this year.

Omoda Jaecoo Australia backs its vehicles with an eight-year, unlimited mileage warranty and offers eight years of service at top prices. Service within the Omoda Jaecoo network and receive up to eight years of roadside assistance.
